\"\"<\/a>Those of you who follow me on twitter might have noticed that I\u2019m on foursquare and I check into things quite often.\u00a0 I like to make people think that I have a life beyond watching movies with my cat.\u00a0 My recent obsession was checking into the gym to make myself feel like less of a fat ass.<\/p>\n

On a recent trip I was on my way into the gym and wanted to check in and what did I see.<\/p>\n

Escorts\u2026 on my Foursquare? Apparently.<\/p>\n

While there are many joke venues on Foursquare , my favorite being \u201cyour mom\u201d.\u00a0 After snooping around I found that there are a number of escort agencies listing themselves.\u00a0 They had mayor, and users leaving tips about girls and services. \u00a0There are two major things wrong with this.<\/p>\n

Firstly I live in New Jersey being a hooker, managing escorts and pretty much everything surrounding paid sex is illegal. \u00a0Second, these companies just gave everyone that cares to look a roadmap to their employees.\u00a0 You know those at risk women that unfortunately targeted by rapist, thieves and murders.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m actually a lot more concerned with the latter, although since when was being a criminal so easy? Seriously all you need is wi-fi and a lot of lube and you can be a hooker extraordinaire but that is a post for another evening.<\/p>\n

Why would any sex worker want to be literally put in the public crosshairs? Every religious nut, rapist, and random rabble-rouser now has the GPS location of where you work. Even if you are an outcall girl, your number is listed in a potentially hostile environment. \u00a0\u00a0I know that some of the most creative and elaborate uses for social media and the Internet have been utilized by sex workers to make their lives safer but something tells me that Foursquare might not be that next big thing. \u00a0Think of your safety ladies.<\/p>\n\n
