Oh PETA, you are the Khardsians of non profit organizations. What won’t you do for attention? You’ve already proven you aren’t above, fat-shaming, racism, antisemitism and time tested sexism to get people to care about animals.
Now you want to make a porn site and that double pissed me off.
You see by equating sex with gore and animal abuse you’ve just set the sexual revolution back hundreds of years. What you are basically saying is the naked female form is equatable to a slaughter house. When you use naked skinny white flesh to uphold an ideal body type and in turn an ideal diet, veganism, you send an ugly sexist and racist message. No one in your marketing department thought that the populous would be offended by this? Of course not, your marketing department was clearly recruited from a fetal alcohol syndrome rehabilitation ward. These are the same people that thought those sea kittens were a great way to promote animal rights.
Company spokesperson Lindsay Rajt told the Huffington Post that the site “will have enough adult content to qualify for the XXX domain site but also some other graphic images of animals that viewers may not expect to see”
Porn already has too much racism and sexism as it is. As a person working to promote gender, body and sexual diversity in adult entertainment I really don’t want to deal with PETA cheapening my already troubled field. You read that right, PETA cheapens porn by the simple existence of PETA.xxx.
PETA in fact cheapens everything they touch including the animal rights movement. I’m surprised there’s isn’t a fund for all the animals purposely harmed by people to piss off PETA , though they do their fair share of killing animals. What PETA does is attention whore, in the hopes that it calls attention to their “cause”, but what they really do is make animal activist seem like racist, sexist, hetero-normative, culturally-insensitive, crazy douche bags. I’m not sure if they are going for some meta avant garde art thing where they want to call attention to the abuse of animals by dehumanizing humans then I think about all the animals they off a year and realize they just truly suck at what they do.
I remember in college I remember someone putting a sticker on my dorm room door of a little cartoon chick saying “I am not a nugget.” I wrote in big block letter “YET” and I felt a little guilty, now I wish I went around campus and wrote it on all of them.
As an animal rights activist, I will no longer distribute PETA material. PETA seems to think that it needs to recruit men who watch porn.
